Welcome to Discovery Camp
Discovery Camp is our exciting summer program for preschool through 8th grade. We have half and full day camp available and each week we have an exciting new theme. Discovery Camp is open to all BSBA students who are pre-K2 through rising 8th grade.

Hours of Operation
Monday - Friday
Half Day: 7:30am - Noon
Full Day: 7:30am - 6:00pm
Discovery Camp Fees
Registration Fee: $25
1st Camper: Half Day $165 per week // Full Day $215 per week
Each Additional Camper: Half Day $150 per week // Full Day $195 per week
VBS Week: 2s and 3s -same pricing as above // 4s and up $165 per week
Pay for 5 weeks up front, get $50 off each camper. Pay for all summer and receive $100 each camper.
Week 1 June 1 - June 4, 2021:
(No Camp on Monday, May 31st)
This camp will focus on the campers’ building skills. Can you create your own city, using LEGOs®? Let the architect and engineer in your camper come out in this camp full of LEGOs®! We will stack, build, create, and let’s be honest, knockdown LEGOs® this week.
Week 2 June 7 - 11, 2021:
2 years – 3 years “Roads & Rails”
Our 2’s and 3’s will be on their own voyage this week. Using the Railway to venture into God’s world and explore.
Rising K-8th Graders - “VBS WEEK” – *Special Price
Full steam ahead as campers participate in BSC’s Vacation Bible School, Rocky Railway, in the morning and then head off to camp as they land in the depot at 12:00 PM. VBS is free from 9 -12 in the AM, cost incurred for the week is for care before and/or after VBS. For more information regarding VBS go to: WWW.BellShoals.com/events.
Week 3 June 14 - 18, 2021:
LET’S GET COOKING! Campers will learn new and exciting culinary skills while having fun and trying new foods. They will make appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Week 4 June 21 - 25, 2021:
This week is all about teamwork and being active. All campers will engage in games and challenges that help develop athletic skills, improve confidence, and encourage good sportsmanship.
Week 5 June 28 - July 2, 2021 :
What would it be like to go back in time or forward into the future? Campers will travel in time and explore different cultures, historical times, and people. Mexico, Iceland, Rome…. who knows where our campers will land?
Week 6 July 5 - 9, 2021:
“Silly Science” Pre-School Campers
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) come alive through hands-on experiments. Campers become inventors as they mix, stir, pour, and measure creating some bizarre mixtures.
“Mad Science” Completed K- 8th Grade
Campers get messy as they make some cool gooey stuff as they experiment with goo, globs, oozes, and blobs. This is sure to whip up a week full of zany goos and oohs. Secret laboratory not required! Muah ha ha ha!
Week 7 July 12 - 16, 2021:
“S’mores and More” (Pre-School Campers)
Chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers….does this remind you of a tasty treat? Campers will “Camp In” during this week including pitching a tent, campfire stories, and of course, eating S’mores.
“Survivor” (Completed K-8th Graders)
Is your camper a “Survivor”? Campers will go on scavenger hunts, survivor challenges, use maps and compasses, and much more during this Survivor Camp.
Week 8 July 19 - 23, 2021:
It's so popular that we are doing it twice. (Recipes will be different from week #3). LET’S GET COOKING! Campers will learn new and exciting culinary skills while having fun and trying new foods. They will make appetizers, entrees, and desserts
Week 9 July 26 - 30, 2021:
This is a wild and crazy week for our campers! Water Day, Field Day, with a bouncy house, and more. This week is the craziest way to begin closing out the summer
Week 10 August 2 - 6, 2021:
“Rainbow Splash” Pre-School Campers
“Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high” is where our younger students are taking colors this week! Different colors will be emphasized each day through foods, nature, animals, and objects.
“Artful Antics” Completed K- 8th Grade
Creative Campers will flourish this week as we explore different materials and mediums. Campers will use their skills to create beautiful and exciting art with paints and other supplies.
Week 11 August 9 - 13, 2021:
“Discovering Dinosaurs” (Pre-School Campers)
The campers will learn the when’s, how’s, and why’s about dinosaurs. They will use their 5 senses for 5 days to learn about these amazing creatures, help build a volcano & watch it erupt, and become a paleontologist as campers search for and make fossils while exploring the world of dinosaurs.
“Space is the Place” (Completed K-8th Grade)
3-2-1 Blast off! Campers will embark on a new exposition into space each day as they explore the vast world above us from the comets to galaxies.
